"Adders (Vipera berus) are, like many snakes, not agressive and will avoid contact with humans as much as possible. They won't release a single drop of venom unnecessary. Saving venom is crucial and needed to catch a prey instead of biting a human. In the Netherlands this beautiful and underrated snake is pretty vurnable, because only a few suitable and fragmented habitats are left. It is our responsibility to make sure it can be admired by future generations as well."
